UTA College of Engineering sponsorship program for Research Experiences for Undergraduates awarded to Dylan Singh

The Center for Advanced Construction Materials is pleased to announce that undergraduate student Dylan Singh (BS Physics with Minor in Materials Science and Engineering, BS Mathematics 2021), advisor/PI Dr. Erika La Plante, and co-PI Dr. Maria Konsta-Gdoutos, win a research grant from the UTA College of Engineering-sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates. The project will elucidate the kinetics of the aqueous precipitation of magnesium silicate hydrates in cementitious environments through in situ atomic force microscopy and geochemical modeling, toward the development of low-carbon construction materials. The project will culminate in a poster presentation at the UTA COE Innovation Day in Summer 2021.
